WHAT I OFFER

Academic Support That Starts With Regulation

For many neurodivergent students, homework struggles are not only about understanding the lesson. Differences in how they focus, process information, and make meaning can impact comprehension. When the way something is taught does not align with how a student learns, overwhelm can set in before they even get started.

My approach focuses on:

• Task initiation and executive functioning
• Emotional regulation during academic work
• Breaking assignments into manageable steps
• Building confidence and independence
• Creating calmer homework experiences

Sessions are structured, relational, and practical. We regulate first, plan next, work in focused blocks, and finish with reflection and small wins.

This is not just about finishing assignments. It is about sitting alongside your child, understanding how they learn, and guiding them through the work in a way that supports both regulation and growth.

ABOUT ME

I’m a Child & Youth Worker with the Toronto District School Board, supporting neurodivergent students in both elementary and secondary school settings.

My education includes a BA from Queen’s University, a Child and Youth Work diploma from George Brown College, and certification as a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner. I have training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and am currently completing a Master’s in Child & Youth Care Studies.

My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and grounded in relational, regulation-based support. While I understand behavioural frameworks, my work centers co-regulation, executive functioning, and helping students feel safe enough to engage in learning.

Alongside my work in schools, I am an artist and musician. My writing has been published in magazines and newspapers, my artwork has been exhibited and commissioned, and my music has been recorded, toured, and featured on CBC. Creativity is not separate from my work with young people; it informs how I understand learning, expression, and confidence-building.

I support the whole child, not just the assignment in front of them.
